Past Logs (Thanks to GM Hawke for these):

Log: Le'la, Elora, Karina and Gorion hunt the Grey Hunter. The Grey Hunter seems to flee when Elora casts a Light spell at it, and the four escape back to Trinsic before they're killed.

Log: Britain has been retaken. The party escorts a group of high ranking people from Trinsic to Britain and are attacked by the Grey Hunter along the way. It takes a prisoner from the group: A necromancer named Corrine. The group does not persue, and continues to Britain.

Log: A group of Atarkans, accompannied by a tril'khun take hostages to the gates of Trinsic, threatening to kill them as repayment for the outlaw Jindrak killing Atarkans. Before they can carry out the threat, or negotiate, the group is attacked by the Grey Hunter. The tril'khun
is apparently confused, and attacks both Britannians and Atarkans before the Grey Hunter strikes it down and carries it away. The hostages are all dead, and the Atarkans are finished off by the defenders of Trinsic.

Log: Cailyn Stormrage meets the Grey Hunter. His body is left in a tree outside Trinsic afterwards.

Log: In this quest the origins of how the Grey Hunter came to be in Britannia are discovered. Speculating that the Grey Hunter is an undead creature due to its serrated bone tail, and that the nearest necromatic stronghold to its first sighting is in the desert, the party investigate the desert tomb and find records of the necromancers capturing a tril'khun (one of the Atarkans' telepathic cats) and performing a liche ritual on it. They find the cage it had been kept in, torn open, and deduce the creature escaped before a binding ritual could be performed, killing the necromancers and escaping into Britannia. In one of the records
they see a note that the young Grey Hunter seemed to shy away from the light of a candleflame. Hoping for a vulnerability to light, the party goes to the mine near Despise after reporting their findings to Gamling.

Log: The party is contacted in Trinsic by Ravida Gael, who's been keeping an eye on the aggressive grey cat from the first quest. He tells them it's left his forest and he's managed to track it to nearby Despise, only to discover that some Atarkans are on its trail as well. The
party go with him to a mine west of Despise and find some Atarkans within, who are apparently tracking the cat to kill it. The name they give the cat is "Sh'ay-summini". The party kills the Atarkans and investigate the cave, finding a den full of kills including Atarkans, knights and a
wide variety of monsters.

The party quickly leaves the cave, only to be assaulted by the cat itself. It kills Ravida Gael and takes his body. The party, failing to take it down, soon flee to Trinsic. They meet Kandheir and he translates "Sh'ay-summini" as "Grey Hunter", a legendary monster of Atarka thought to
be no more than a made up nightmare.

The party goes to the Lycaeum and a sage called Gamling takes an interest in the quest.

Log: During the Atarkan war. Minoc and Yew are held by the enemy. Anne, a ranger, brings word of hostages being transported from Minoc to Yew by a group of Atarkans. A party decides to lay an ambush for the group along the road near Dawn, but the hostages and their captors never arrive. After a very long wait, the party decides to follow the road towards Minoc and see if they can surprise the enemy -- wherever they are.

When they find the Atarkans and the hostages, near the outpost on the edge of the desert, they find a massacre. All but one of the group, a Britannian knight, lie dead. The knight lives long enough to say that 'it' took Sir Lars alive. Bloody clawprints heading north into the forest
lead to a tree from which a brutally maimed body hangs. The party does not have long to investigate before a creature resembling a large, silver-furred cat with a serrated bone tail leaps from the treetops and attacks.

The party try to defend themselves against the creature, but all save 3 are struck down. Two teleport out with moonstones, and 1 manages to evade until a hermit arrives on the scene, wary about the goings on so near his dwelling. For some reason, the cat flees when the hermit
approaches.
The hermit tends to the wounded in the group and quickly brings them
all to his house in the forest, all the while they're hearing the hissing of the stalking cat. Once in the house, the hermit names himself Ravida Gael. The party thank him for his help, but are curious as to how he drove the cat off. He doesn't know, but suggests it could be his staff
(Darkness Ward) which he claimed had been enchanted by the mage Nicodemus.

Eventually, the party leaves by magical means, leaving Ravida in his house and the cat outside.
